Leeds Business School’s CIPR Student Society Lecture series will be taking place this autumn in the iconic Rose Bowl. This year’s exciting line up ranges from Leeds City Council’s Andy Carter looking at the changing face of PR in the public sector to managing global brands with Sarah McCartney, Head of Communications at handmade cosmetics company, Lush. London agency Forster will give an insight into how government and companies are increasing youth engagement through PR strategies.

The series concludes with the presentation of the Claire Mascall Prize, supported by Redmayne Bentley. With £1000 cash prize and a two week placement at the London Stock Exchange and two £500 runners up prizes and a two week placement in the region up for grabs, there are plenty of incentives to get involved.
Apart from the guest lecturers, PR students will get the opportunity to work on a real life projects with companies such as Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger, a PR agency in Leeds. A successful team of five students will set up a student agency working on real clients with the support and mentoring of directors at Bell Pottinger, which has the largest network of PR agencies in the UK and is owned by Chime Communications Plc, a leading global communications organisation.
