On Tuesday 24 February, Leeds Business School students attended the 2nd Annual Placements Fair in Ghandi Hall, Headingley campus organised by the Business School Placements Office.
The fair gave second year students the opportunity to meet prospective employers and gain an insight into the variety of professional work placements available to them. Heart Research UK, Unilever, Nestle and Gordons Solicitors are just a few of the local companies in attendance who are interested in a placement student from Leeds Business School joining their team. Overall the day was a great success, with over 260 students attending.
Jo Scupham from the Placements Office commented “It was pleasing to see an enthusiastic turn out and all employers commented favourably on the high quality of students they had spoken to. We feel it is a great advantage for students to undertake a work placement. It will provide them with vital industry knowledge as well as assisting them to gain an advantage over others in future job applications.”
