About Us
Languages at Leeds Met is a specialist centre for teaching and research in modern languages, English as a foreign language, lesser-taught languages and language teacher development. Established in 1995 we serve internal, local, national and international markets through the provision of high quality applied language teaching, teacher development, research and consultancy work.
We offer the ideal combination of a small, friendly language centre with all the facilities and benefits of one of Britain's most popular universities. Our full time teaching provision includes undergraduate degrees in languages with professional studies and postgraduate degrees for language teachers, authors, and publishers - and we also offer flexible part-time language degrees (IPOS), which you can design to meet your language AND lifestyle needs with one of our specialist tutors.
Our part-time language courses provide over 1,000 local students with the opportunity to study a wide range of languages from beginner to advanced level.
