For me, the highlight of this academic year was having a conference paper accepted at the CAUTHE (Council for Australian Universities Tourism and Hospitality Education) conference. This was held on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia and was an excellent opportunity to network with tourism and hospitality educators from all over the world.

My (FDTL) Funding for the Development of Teaching and Learning came to an end this year. This was a nationally funded HEFCE project which has now resulted in a book chapter.

I have also had another book chapter published by Rhodri Thomas.

I was successful in a £5000 TQEF bid and had two successful PhD completions.
