Student Placements

A sandwich course is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the industry sector of your choice because it includes a 48-week work placement.  This combination of a qualification and experience shows prospective employers that you not only have an in-depth understanding of their industry but also the practical skills they need.

Our dedicated placement office has been running a student placement programme for 20 years and has an extensive network of contacts in the Hospitality & Retail sectors in the UK, Europe and overseas.  Every year, hundreds of students work for a wide variety of employers, from small or medium-sized enterprises to global corporations.  They leave Leeds Met for their sandwich year as students and return to continue their studies as professionals.
