First university to have BII corporate membership
Leeds Metropolitan is the first university to have corporate membership of British Institute of Innkeeping (BII).
This unique collaboration will enhance the student experience by offering extra qualifications and BII membership for our Hospitality & Retailing students, support with placements, a student mentoring scheme, along with the promotion of our hospitality courses to international students involved in the BII China project.
The British Institute of Innkeeping, which also accredits Leeds Metropolitan hospitality courses, is the leading professional body for the licensed retail sector which aims raise professional standards in the industry. This university package offered by the BII is the first for hospitality education in the UK.
Isabell Hodgson, the Subject Group Leader for Hospitality & Retailing comments: " Working closely with BII will offer excellent support for our students and provide some of the best hospitality provision.
