Personal Statement
I started teaching English as a Foreign Language in Singapore over 15 years ago, and have taught in various countries before joining Leeds Met.

In 2004 I became an International Teaching Fellow and the Course Leader for the International Foundation Studies programme and have considerable experience of dealing with international students. I work part-time across a range of courses at different levels including our Masters in English Language Teaching (ELT), and have co-written various language learning materials for use in a wide range of countries, including China, Ethiopia and Estonia and worked closely with the international office in marketing our courses overseas.

I've co-authored a chapter in Internationalisation at Higher Education, and co-authored the 'Hands-on Internationalisation' at Leeds Met.

Jo is fully qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language in accordance with the British Council's TEFLQ standard.
