Surviving the peace

Applied Global Ethics were recently visited by the award winning photo journalist, Sean Sutton, from the Mines Advisory Group.

Sean gave a presentation to students and staff on his powerful and intimate photography of communities world-wide recovering from war and conflict. 'Surviving the Peace' portrayed a series of Sean's work, which documents local villages from all over the world including Iraq, Bosnia, Laos, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.

Sean Sutton recently became a Visiting Research Fellow at Applied Global Ethics and will make a major contribution to peace and conflict studies teaching and research.

'Surviving the Peace' is currently being exhibited at the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester.
