Dr Steve Wright's research is concerned with the assessment of developments in the technology of political control, terrorism and counter-terrorism. His research interests cover counter-measures to future border control and mass incapacitation technologies.
He is the former Director of the Omega Foundation and Privacy International and previous work on the global interception of telecommunications led to the widely influential European Parliament report on Echelon.
