Why did you choose to study at Leeds Met?

The management skills of this economically powerful nation is well known and to obtain a degree from the UK will give me a better chance for a successful future.

Leeds Met was recommended to me by a friend because the course took just one year to complete. Also, after looking through the RAE ratings and the Business School Rankings, Leeds Met stood out as an obvious choice.

When I was applying for Leeds Met I was given a great deal of support from one of Leeds Met’s agents in Nagpur, India. They helped me process all my documents and encouraged me all the way.

Scholarship
Winning a scholarship is a very prestigious achievement. Also, it greatly helps to reduce the cost of fees. I had to submit a 500 word essay and certificates for work experience and also proof of co-curricular achievements.  When I won the scholarship I was so happy. My father did not believe I had won a scholarship. It was only after the official letter arrived that he allowed him self to be convinced.  After that, my whole family were very happy.

Receiving a scholarship is not only a prestigious achievement, but it also acts as a motivational tool to make one aim to work harder and achieve more.

What do you think of Leeds Met?
Leeds Met has been very helpful in helping me settle into the University, city and country. The welcome program provided all the information I needed to become acclimated quickly.

Since coming to the UK I have become far more independent than I used to be. I have interacted with people from countries world-wide, and with people whose expertise spans many varied fields. I have also learned to cook. These are all things I would never have experienced if I had stayed at home, and I’m so happy I was given the opportunity to expand my horizons, learn more about the world and people in it, and mostly; to learn more about myself.

The freshers’ festival was beautifully executed. It really kept in mind the needs and diversity of the international students and endeavoured to meet all potential problems we may face upon coming to the UK.

The course modules are well suited for pursuing an MBA. The business structure is particularly excellent.

I live in private accommodation and I’m really enjoying it. I enjoy the independence I have in living in privately and the peace of mind.

Aspirations for the future
After I graduate I hope to work in the UK for 1-2 years in order to gain some pertainable work experience. Then I hope to return to India to join my family and our family-owned business.

Leeds Met is a well ranked and known university. It has a good reputation both here in the UK and overseas. Receiving a degree from such a prestigious university will only have excellent repercussions on my future endeavours.
