Why did you choose Leeds Met?
I chose to study in the UK because of the high academic standards adopted by the Universities here. Also, the MBA program is a one year course. Leeds Met combines an outstanding education, which is world-wide renowned with very reasonable fees. You really do get the most for your money here. Lastly, the large number of international students was definitely a pull factor because it was obvious Leeds Met knew how to take care of our needs.

When applying to Leeds Met I received a great deal of support from both the university and the overseas agent. They acquired all the necessary details that I needed for my preferred course. My agent really supported and helped me from beginning to end. The university was very quick to respond and maintained excellent contact with both me and my agent.

The Scholarship
I applied for the scholarship because the opportunity provided by the university for students with reasonable achievements was a reward I wanted to achieve.

In order to apply for the scholarship I had to write a cover letter and attach it to the application form, accompanied by all my certificates of extra-curricular and educational achievements.

Upon hearing I won a scholarship to Leeds Met I was very excited. It made me feel very proud of myself and encouraged me to strive and work harder to achieve more in my future. Winning a scholarship to such a prestigious university as Leeds Met gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

What do you think of Leeds Met?
The most positive experience I’ve had since I arrived at Leeds Met is meeting all the local people; whether British, or international. Everyone is so warm, welcoming and helpful.

The welcome programme offered to international students was very helpful in aiding the settling in process and provided all the necessary information needed when one moves countries.

The freshers’ festival in general was so much fun. I met so many people from all over the world. It really was an amalgamation of diverse cultures, religions and nationalities all under one roof becoming friends!

I live in the Mary Morris International residence. I particularly enjoy the great mix of students in the building. We all come from very diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Leeds Met is a well ranked and known university. It has a good reputation both here in the UK and overseas. Receiving a degree from such a prestigious university will only have excellent repercussions on my future endeavours.

The Course
The best feature about my course is the hands-on approach that Leeds Met adopts. I will be travelling to Milan for a week to engage in business strategies, which is particularly exciting!

The city of Leeds
The city of Leeds is so beautiful and vibrant. It is the perfect destination for international students as it offers a multi-cultural society. There’s always something happening and you’ll always find something that makes you feel at home.

Aspirations for the future
After I graduate I hope to work in the UK for 1-2 years in order to gain some pertainable work experience. Then I hope to return to India to join my family and our family-owned business.
