Meredith won a partial scholarship to study MSc Events Management at Leeds Met in September 2006.

Meredith applied to study at Leeds Met after she heard about the University's fantastic reputation. Events Management is not yet widely available in the United States of America, so Meredith was prepared to move overseas in order to further her education.
“I looked at events management programmes offered by other institutions and found Leeds Met to be the most attractive.”
Since arriving in Leeds, Meredith has not been disappointed. “The tutors here are exceptional. I really enjoy their lectures. They are remarkable in their fields. They are really knowledgeable, passionate and excited about their subjects, and listening to them really makes me want to learn.”
“Civic Quarter is a great place to learn. Everyone is really friendly. I love how the campus is situated in the centre of the city. When I am out in the city, I feel a real sense of belonging when I see the Leeds Met branding.”
When asked about the scholarship process Meredith commented: “I found the scholarship process really fun! I loved getting into my essay, which won me my partial scholarship. Being asked to describe a typical day in your life was a refreshing change. The website is really informative and easy to use."
