“When I first arrived in Leeds the two things that stood out the most were how peaceful the city is, and how friendly the people are. I chose to come to Leeds Met primarily because of the courses on offer. The course content really appealed to me, with a good combination of all aspects of study, at an affordable fee. “
“I was very impressed with the scholarship application process. The task of describing a typical day in your life means that everyone is given an equal opportunity, rather than at most universities where awards are based on previous academic merit. The scholarship website was well maintained and contained all the relevant information. I was delighted to be awarded a partial scholarship as I know it is very competitive.”
“Before arriving in Leeds, I was apprehensive about moving to the UK and living away from home for the first time. However I feel I have settled in really well and am beginning to feel much more confident.”
“I'm really enjoying my course so far. My classes are both theory and practical. I like that the class sizes are small so you get to know your classmates and benefit from their knowledge and experience. My teachers are also very helpful, and it is clear that they really know their subject area.”
“When I finish my studies at Leeds Met I wish to return back home to Pakistan, where I believe my job prospects will have greatly increased. I believe that the overall experience of being at Leeds Met will change me as a person and I'm hoping it will greatly improve my professional and social life.”
