Why did you choose to study at Leeds Met?
The UK was my number one destination for doing my Masters. A degree from a British university is valued and recognised throughout the world. Also, I could attain my Masters in just one year at a relatively inexpensive cost. It truly is “value for money!”
Leeds Met was also my first choice as the place I wished to attain my Masters out of all the universities in the UK. Leeds Met is well known in India for a high level of studies, education and outstanding faculty. Also, I had seen photos of the campus before I arrived here and thought it was beautiful, but it is far more awe-inspiring to see it in person. It truly is beautiful!
I applied to Leeds Met through the Leeds Met South Asia office in New Delhi, India. The South Asia team provided help and support from the application process to the visa application. They were very generous with their support and encouraged me all the way.
I was amazed at how easy and quick the application process was. It was easy to understand and comprehensible and I received my unconditional offer within 10 days of submitting my application!
The Scholarship
A scholarship is always something that is considered to be very prestigious. It gives a person a sense of self-satisfaction and confidence.
I filled in an application to apply for the scholarship and also submitted an essay as part of a writing competition on a typical day in my life.
I received notification of winning the scholarship to Leeds Met via email at midnight my time in India. I was so happy that I woke up all my family! It was a very proud moment for me! My family feels that winning an award from Leeds Met constitutes as one of the proudest moments in their lives.
A scholarship from Leeds Met means so much to me. I consider it to be a prestigious award which reflects my hard work and dedication.
What do you think of Leeds Met?
Students across the world need to know that Leeds Met really is the place to be. The campus is beautiful and the faculty is outstanding.
Settling down to life at the University and in UK was very easy. Leeds is a very international city so it was easy to find things that reminded me of home. The University also provided a great amount of friendly help and cooperation, which made learning and accepting a new culture and country much easier than I had anticipated.
My most positive experience since being here is in seeing how well managed and run everything is.
The city of Leeds
The city of Leeds is a great place to be; a real city of night life, social life and studying life. There are many students in the city and it’s a great pleasure to interact with so many different people.
The Course
My course gives me a great opportunity to bring together working with students from all over the world and a sense of business management techniques of different countries. Working with English and international students on my course really helps to bridge gaps in business and bring together business goals.
Aspirations for the future
After graduation I’d like to add experience to my knowledge by working in a large company. However, my dream is to start up my own company and hopefully one day take it global.
A degree from Leeds Met will provide me with specialised professional knowledge in my key subject area. Most importantly, a degree from Leeds Met is recognised world-wide and I feel, will greatly help me achieve my goals in life.
