Entry RequirementsFoundation courses: Undergraduate study: Admission to higher education is on the basis of the Bacalaureat Diploma and entrance examination with a minimum mark of 5 out of 10, or a pass in the Secondary Vocational Diploma from upper secondary school Level 3 top-ups: Studies in university colleges (Colegii Universitare) last three years and lead to the Diploma de Absolvire. This allows entry onto Level 3 of Undergraduate courses or Pre-Masters, depending on work experience and results. Postgraduate study: University courses for the Licenta last four to six years full time and include compulsory foreign languages during the first two years. Studies end in a graduation paper and examinations (Examen de Licenta). Those who pass are awarded the Diploma de Licenta and students with high grades may be considered for admission to postgraduate study. Courses in engineering last five years and lead to the Diploma de Inginer where again, students with high marks may be considered for admission to postgraduate study. Courses in architecture last six years and lead to the Diploma de Architect and students with high marks may be considered for admission to postgraduate study. |
