Undergraduate First Year
You require the equivalent of UK ‘A’ levels to enter a first degree; for the exact entry requirements of each course please refer to the course descriptions contained in our Online Prospectus. Our international foundation programme (Cert HE International Foundation Studies) can help you improve your English language ability and academic qualifications to gain admission to an undergraduate programme.
Undergraduate Second and Third Year Entry
It is possible to enter the second or third year of an undergraduate degree if you have suitable qualifications and/or experience equivalent to the first or second year of study. It would be advisable to contact the Course Enquiries team to enquire about your options for a second or third year entry.
Postgraduate Degree
Typically you need to achieve the equivalent of a UK second-class honours degree at undergraduate level. However, other qualifications and relevant work experience can be used to show that you have the potential to succeed and many students gain entry in this way. Where appropriate, details of specific requirements are given in the course descriptions contained in our Online Prospectus.
Our postgraduate courses require a BA (Hons) or equivalent plus an English level of at least IELTS 6.0.
If you have a BA (Hons) or equivalents and IETLS 5.0 or 5.5 you can develop your academic English and study skills on the Graduate Diploma. This course will prepare you to study a Masters or PHD in the UK.
If you have a HND qualification or equivalent and IETLS 5.0, 5.5, or 6.0 you can study the Pre-Masters course. On this course you will develop your academic English and study skills as well as your subject knowledge in preparation for your Masters course.
