Innovation North Conferences and Workshops
Innovation North hosted combined staff and student Research and Practice Conference's from 2005 to 2007, celebrating 'traditional' and 'practice-based' research conducted in the faculty. The 3-day conferences have been packed with external keynote speeches, presentations from resident and distance students (via web conferencing), and the opportunity to enhance the research community in the faculty with outstanding success. The faculty conference has now merged with university-held conferences held in July for, and organised by, postgraduate research students and September for all researchers. These provide the opportunity for staff and students to engage with wider audiences and subjects.
INN also host a number of workshops and seminars on an ad hoc basis covering wide research topics, some tailored specifically to the Research Training Programme (RTP)
