Slump Recording

'Slump Recordings' team members, Tom Cook, Luke Marshall and Ashley Bradwell, produced an online record distribution site branded with their logo developed from a 1980s speaker made into a person with a hoody as a line in orange on a black background. They cut out the mini slump men and left them at academic staff doorways, knocked and ran away to highlight the brand. Tom, Luke and Ashley all had defining roles, from marketing, technical background and website development.

Ashley commented, 'I think the brand is the most important thing that should sell your product for you.. It was the information and skills we had learned that we wanted to use to represent the project. We wanted to feel like we owned it.'

'Because we each knew our roles we could each get on really successfully with the diversity of knowledge. People work in different ways, Tom preferred to work at home; I preferred to work at University and use the facilities on offer and talk with people about the ideas. We agreed at the beginning that we would put the foundations of a business in place, so that if things did come out of the project, then we would have a solid starting point and I believe we have.'

Tom added 'The idea was strong and brought us all together. I am really happy with the outcome. I was proactive in following leads, and the other members of the team saw the outcomes and got on with the job. I really want to get a solid degree and I am aiming for a 2:1.

Luke concluded, 'We are all good at what we do. Tom has been the driver, Ashley is an excellent marketer and I have enjoyed implementing the outcomes.'

Speaking with Slump recordings team, it sounds like they have not only worked hard but also enjoyed working together, having a lot of fun in the process. To find out more about the Slump Recording go to http://www.slumprecordings.co.uk/.
