Innovation North Showcase 2008
James Graham buzzed with excitement at Innovation North's Showcase event, which took place yesterday as part of Leeds Met's Festival of Student Achievement.
The faculty's annual celebration of undergraduate and postgraduate attainment attracted a record number of visitors, amongst them industry guests, students, members of staff and proud friends and family of exhibiting students.
This year's event had the feel of a trade show, with almost 200 student groups bringing their final year projects to life before an enthralled and appreciative audience. Guests packed into Gandhi Hall and the neighbouring Acre Room and Jubilee Room to view work which was professional, informative and engaging.
The stunning array of projects included interactive websites, record labels, 3D animation, virtual learning environments, social networking sites, radio programmes, sound and music design, media promotion and e-commerce solutions.
Events continue on Thursday and Friday with a series of special guest lectures for students and staff.
