Innovation North at Eurogamer

The Play, Games and Animation team staffed a booth at the first Eurogamer Expo to come up north to the Royal Armouries' Savile Conference suites this week. Visitors were as animated at the range of Microsoft and Sony games available, keeping gamers entertained between visiting the stands and attending talks by developers from Brink, Team 17, Just Add Water and Gravity Crash.

Games design and animation staff answered questions from GCSE students planning ahead, current games students from all around the region and games companies looking for potential student placements. Xbox live and the gamesindustry.biz website were where hundreds of visitors had mainly found out about the Expo and the Leeds waterfront had a real feeling of excitement as gamers networked with each other. The Eurogamer Expo now moves to London in early November.
