'Coaching & Learning Through Games'

Over the Summer Innovation North hosted Learning Through Games - SAGSET 09, a 1-day symposium showcasing what the games industry had to say about Serious Games.
Games enthusiasts from across the country and beyond joined representatives from Gamerholix, Numiko and Virtools at this prestigious event, which featured an inspirational and entertaining programme of interactive workshops, creative presentations and networking opportunities.
From comics, simulation and 3D graphics to interactive learning environments and business strategies, the event offered a unique opportunity for industry and academics to meet, network and explore the huge potential of Coaching and Learning through Games.
Peter Trim, Chairman of SAGSET, commented, "The range and depth of material covered and the diversity of the speakers was excellent."
The event was the 39th Conference of the Society for the Advancement of Games & Simulations in Education and Training (SAGSET). Formed in 1970, SAGSET is a voluntary professional society dedicated to improving the effectiveness and quality of learning through the use of interactive learning, role-play, simulation and gaming.
