Overview

By exploring innovative photographic and advanced visual effects technologies, this course exploits the new versatility of the camera and hence the photographer. You will be able to extend digital image making beyond the purely photographic, dealing with advanced graphics, visualisation, interactive media, visual arts, and even live installations. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with visual designers, programmers and technologists.

The course will also encourage the development of broad academic, industrial and management skills for digital imaging practitioners who have previously focused predominantly on narrow technical or artistic concerns.

Entry Requirements

In addition to the University entry requirements, you require either a first degree in a media/arts-related subject with evidence of a substantial technological component, or in a technological subject with evidence of creative ability, or a relevant professional qualification with supporting evidence of appropriate work through a professional portfolio.
