Welcome to CETL ALiC

The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) - Active Learning in Computing (ALiC) is a research initiative funded by Hefce, the Higher Education Funding Council for England. CETL ALiC is England's only CETL in Computing Science.

The project seeks to facilitate a shift towards far higher levels of active student engagement where knowledge is obtained by sharing, problem-solving and creating, rather than by passive listening.

Here at Leeds Met, CETL ALiC is located within Innovation North, faculty of Information and Technology, at our Headingley Campus.
