Frank Stowell is a Professor of Information Systems. His area of research is concerned with methods of information systems development and the impact of IT upon organisations. He is joint project chair for two EPSRC funded projects and has published extensively about Information Systems. He was a member of the QAA benchmarking committee for computing and is a teained QAA subject domain assessor. He is past president of the UK Academy of Information Sytems and the current President of the UK Systems Society. Steve Smithson - Research Interests IS Management and e-commerce. and Web/e-commerce IS development) "I have a more general interest inIS and social theory, particularily the applications of structuration theory, actor network theory, and systems theory (SSM, VSM)" Dr David Wainwright is a Reader in Information Systems at the School of Computing, University of Northumbria at Newcastle. He was formerly a lecturer in information systems at the University of Durham Business School and prior to that, Head of Information Systems at the Newcastle Business School. With over 16 years experience of researching, teaching and consulting in IS, his current focus is the process of developing information systems strategy both in the UK private and public sectors. His other main area of research involves the development of participative process modelling methods (based upon an underpinning critical social theory), utilising appropriate software technology. |
