Conference
Dinner with a Difference
By any standards,
the Royal Armouries is
impressive. Set on a 13 acre waterfront site, it boasts Leeds' largest
exhibition and banqueting hall.
On arrival, you will be escorted through the magnificent Yorkshire
Hall of Steel to the Oriental Gallery that provides the ideal setting
for the pre-dinner drinks reception. Staff dressed in traditional
kimonos will serve drinks. You will be given the chance to explore
the delights of the arms and armour together with the artefacts
that the museum possesses.
Before dinner,
interpreters will demonstrate the 'Arms and Armour of the Samurai'.
You will be given the chance to see the arming of an interpreter
in reproduction
18th
century
armour. You will then be given the opportunity to examine the weapons
and talk to the interpreters with any questions you may have.
The conference
dinner will follow in the ideal setting of the Wellington Suite
overlooking the surroundings of the Royal Armouries Waterside. A
fully licensed paid bar will be available.
