Our wellbeing initiative has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year's National Business Awards. Fellow contenders for the award, in the category of Health, Work and Wellbeing, include Marks & Spencer, The Metropolitan Police Service and GE Capital. Our new jobs site and online recruitment system was launched on 28 June. The site enables prospective applicants to search and apply for all our vacancies online. Features include: a fully-branded vacancy portal; a user-friendly online application form; improved web content including application and recruitment process guidance; and improved and automated communication with applicants. A new annual season ticket scheme has been launched in conjunction with Northern Rail. Tickets will be valid for unlimited journeys between Leeds and a designated "home" station, including stations outside West Yorkshire, and staff will be able to pay over 12 monthly instaments.
