As a research team, we were committed to consult from the outset with people in public health roles and those supporting them, in order to ensure that the research was grounded in reality and informed by those involved in this sort of work.

We worked with Bradford and Airedale Teaching PCT, who were partners to the study, to set up a series of activities to enable members of the public and practitioners to become involved. This involvement informed the research and represented a genuine process of consultation.
