The Faculty of Health and the Carnegie Faculty of Sport and Education form natural partners in the development and delivery of a sports therapy programme. Across the two faculties there is expertise in the areas of:
anatomy;
physiology;
therapeutic techniques;
sports injury management;
clinical reasoning;
coaching; performance;
physiological testing;
sports psychology and nutrition.
Students on BSc Sports and Exercise Therapy programme are registered as student members of the Society of Sport Therapists. They will be entitled to full membership of the society, on their successful completion of the programme and award of an Honours Degree. Membership of the society provides a useful and important context for the study of sports therapy and professional requirements.
