Visa Paralympics World Cup, Beijing 2008   Leeds Met is delighted to have hosted the Pre-Olympic Training Camp for the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Team.  The team staged a 3-day camp at the Carnegie Sports facilities in the build up to this summer’s Paralympic Games in Beijing.  The team of physiotherapists and Leeds Met senior lecturer, Ian Blackburn, coordinated the visit and provided support during their stay.  Students from the Faculty of Health are actively engaging with the team, gaining a valuable insight into disability sport.
