Frank Griffiths
Frank Griffiths had a varied academic and managerial career before joining the University (Polytechnic) in 1989.
Previously he had been a teacher and researcher at the University of Teesside and, before coming to Leeds, a senior national trade union official.
Frank's duties include responsibility for international policy and the University's Office for Leeds and Yorkshire. He is the lead manager for the University's Widening Participation Strategy.
He is very active in the region sitting on a number of external bodies and chairing the Executive Committee of the Leeds Initiative, which is a body comprising the major stakeholders in the City of Leeds.
Currently he is leading the group which successfully bid for the Small Business Service Franchise for West Yorkshire.
