Student Ambassadors and Aimhigher Associates

The Student Ambassador Scheme was set up to complement the programme of activities delivered by the Get Ahead Team. Ambassadors are central to the success of the work we do, providing support to the facilitator and being a role model for the young people through sharing their experiences of life as a student.

The Aimhigher Associates Scheme is intended to help learners from the lowest socio-economic categories to progress to the full range of higher education provision on offer.  Aimhigher Associates work with learners during key stages in their educational journey between the ages of 14 and 19.  They act as an informed and resourceful role model and mentor, over a sustained period of time, providing support, encouragement and new opportunities to learners.

Alongside the impact that these roles have on the young person, the schemes greatly enhance student's CV's by improving a variety of skills.
