The Get Ahead Team facilitates a programme of activities which seek to raise the motivation, aspiration and attainment of young people. The activities are targeted primarily at those who traditionally would not have considered progression into Higher Education. 

The team works within the framework of the Aimhigher initiative with young people from primary through to Post - 16.  Although principally working within the Yorkshire region, the programme of activities hosted by the Get Ahead team now extends to young people across the country.

Each year over 15,000 young people and their families participate in 'Get Ahead' initiatives. Projects facilitated by the team are tailored to specific age groups and range from one day taster sessions, summer schools and revision programmes through to more specific and tailored programmes and events.
