Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
The Leeds Met Christmas Festival 2007 was a week long success, with the North Pole Collection receiving a great number of donations from both staff and students, which will definitely make a difference to many of the homeless within the community.

The Christmas carols were kicked off by the Black Dyke Band and Leeds Met Sings, which along with the mince pies and wine got everyone in the Christmas spirit, Santa even stayed for a few choruses. He also met all of the children at the children's Christmas party to give them all their presents and join in on the party games.

The charity fundraiser events raised £84.45 which has been donated to the Yorkshire Cancer Centre which is currently under construction at the St James's University Hospital site.  Please click here to see the winning numbers for the North Pole raffle.

Along with all of the above fundraising the Candlelighters raffle, quiz, cakes, baubles and dolls sale raised over £214. Click here to see the Candlelighter winners.
