Leeds Business School is home to both nationally and internationally recognised leading research centres and teams, and provides a wide range of cost effective, high quality research services. Our research centres have evolved around leading academic and practitioner experts in their field. We aim to work in partnership with our clients to ensure the maximum mutual benefits are attained.

Our team of leading academics and business practitioners pride themselves in being able to devise simple solutions to often very complex problems and are committed to making your business more successful.  Whether your problems relate to strategic or operational planning or driving an organisational challenge initiative, we can help. We see ourselves as problem solvers with a passion for excellence, who are highly collaborative and committed to our client's long-term interests. We aim to help you to explore all your opportunities, manage and sustain growth, and maximise your returns.

If you have a pressing problem or are under pressure to deliver results we can help by providing you with honest, objective, insightful and experienced advice and support that will have a direct impact on your performance.

Organisations can utilise an academic's knowledge or, where appropriate, allow a masters student to act as a consultant on a specific project, as part of their studies.

RAE 2008

The quality of our research was recognised in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in two units of assessment - Business and Management (Unit 36) and Communications, Media and Cultural Studies (Unit 66), the latter incorporating our research on public relations. The proportion of our research rated as international standard reflects the strengths in our research-active staff and the commendation for the scale of our research income generation reflects the scale of applied research and consultancy work in our research centres.

Our Research Strategy 2009-12 describes how we will we build on these achievements and make further progress in developing leading edge research of relevance to    real-world problems.
