Background

Louisa initially studied English Literature and Theatre Studies at the University of Leeds. Following her graduation in 1995 she founded a national and international touring theatre company with a number of her peers. Louisa later embarked upon a career change and studied at Leeds Met and the College of Law in York. Having trained with Walker Morris solicitors in Leeds and practiced as an employment lawyer she then joined Leeds Met in September 2008.

Interests
Louisa's main areas of academic interest are in the field of employment law and she is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Responsibilities
Louisa is a Senior Lecturer, teaching on the Legal Practice Course and the LLB. She is the module leader for Employment on the LPC and is also involved in the delivery of Property Law and Practice and Solicitor's Accounts on the Legal Practice Course and Employment Law, Civil Liberties and Law and Legal Skills on the LLB.
