The HRD and Leadership Research Unit is seeking partners establish a number of projects concerned with how we can tackle and learn from complex and difficult problems so that we can develop a more sustainable future. Such problems include:

How leaders can be developed in SMEs to ensure job creation and sustainability?

The role of business, social enterprises and the third sector in neighbourhood regeneration

How the quality of public services can improve well being in our society?

The role of involvement, engagement and participation in tackling complex issues such as health and well-being, drug use and obesity.

Our approach will be to form projects consisting of partners who have an interest in an issue, who are prepared to share knowledge and collaborate with each other, who recognise the value of researching with HRDL and who seek to make the future by taking action. We call this COLLABORATIVE FUTURES.
