Our dedicated Jobs & Careers team offers expert advice and a host of resources to help you choose and gain employment.

Whether you’re in your first or final year, you can speak to members of staff from our Careers Office who can offer you advice from writing a CV to searching for jobs.

Book an appointment with our careers advisor to identify your occupational skills and career path options.

  • Writing a CV

Learn how to write a CV that reflects your skills and experience using our feedback and interactive services.

  • Interview skills

Our careers team will prepare you for interview using a range of resources that include a collection of short videos, regular workshops, and our interactive interview training.

  • Part-time work

Our JobShop can provide part-time work while you study from keen regional employers. Students can register for these opportunities online at Jobs Online. In 2008/09, we provided over 160,000 hours of paid work to support our students financially with their studies and gain valuable transferable skills.

  • Graduate opportunities

Maybe you have a clear idea of the career path you want to follow or perhaps you’re still unsure. Either way, it’s worth talking to our Careers Service team who can help guide your future direction and advise on further study choices if appropriate. If you want to take a look at our latest graduate positions and internships just register at Jobs Online.

Many of our students also find jobs and employer contacts through graduate fairs and bodies such as Graduates Yorkshire, TotalJobs, Graduate Jobs, Milkround, and Graduate TalentPool.
