Training Opportunities
The Equality & Diversity Team offer a range of training which can be specifically linked to the objectives identified in staff Personal Development Reviews (PDR). Where appropriate, student groups looking to gain additional knowledge and skills about diversity issues are also welcome to attend our training sessions. If staff or student groups would like specific training to be delivered to them, this can also be arranged. The breadth of training available is wide and it covers many aspects of contemporary equality and diversity issues. The training is practical and fun, and it has been designed to give attendees the knowledge that they need to work in a manner that is respectful to fellow colleagues and the life choices they have made. It is an opportunity to think about education, enlightenment and tolerance in the context of work and wider society. This years classroom based training schedule is available on request. All course attendees will receive a certificate to recognise their participation in equality training.
