Raising money for the charity you're going to volunteer with

We ask all volunteers to fundraise. Usually it's for the charity or project they will be working with and sometimes it's to buy equipment which will then be donated to the organisation or used in the project work. Fundraising is actually a great way to get to know your fellow volunteers and lots of our previous teams have had great success and some have continued fundraising after they return after being so inspired by the work of the organisation. Once accepted onto a trip, we'll give you some ideas for fundraising and encourage you to work as a group to organise larger fundraising activities. Don't forget, volunteering and fundraising both look wonderful on your CV!      

Help with fundraising

Once you're signed up for a project, the staff in the volunteering office and your team leader will help you with ideas for fundraising. Mostly we encourage volunteers to organise their own fundraising or to work with the rest of their team to fundraise but there may be some larger activities already organised so you'll just need to turn up and do your bit.

We're always looking forward for help with fundraising even from people not going on a volunteering trip. It might be that you're looking for something to help out with or organise as part of your course, or perhaps you just like fundraising!
