CPD EVENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELLORS, EDUCATIONALISTS & HELPING PROFESSIONS

Leeds Metropolitan Counselling Service has a long history of providing training and professional development for other counsellors. In recent years, we have expanded our programme to include events that will be of interest to other helping professions and the education sector more broadly.

In Semester 2 we are running our fourth cycle of 'Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction'; an 8-week short course. Our professional forum, 'Spirituality and the Therapeutic Relationship' (six sessions over the whole year that group members can dip in and out of if they can't make all six meetings) coninues.

In addition, our programme includes a training day for counsellors on Attachment with Jenny Biancardi, two half-day seminars on Breath Perception with Dawnie Brown and the year culminates in our Annual Conference, "On the Brink: Rethinking the Family and Child Development" that will feature guest keynote speakers Oliver James, Claire Asherson Bartram and Terri Apter.
