11/06/2009

Well Met Conferencing hosted a celebratory event for the team who created and developed the Rose Bowl. The event, organised by Arup Construction and entitled 'Construction Team Celebration of the Rose Bowl', was attended by the five different construction companies involved in building the unique venue.

The five companies involved in the construction of the striking glass structure were Arup, Shephered Robson, BAM, Gardiner & Theobold and Turner & Townsend. 200 guests, ranging from the fields of business, local government, education, architecture and engineering attended the event, which provided the perfect opportunity for the five companies to showcase their work in a unique networking event.

Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager forWell Met Conferencing, said:
"I am thrilled that so many guests attended last night's Rose Bowl celebration. The event was a great success and provided the perfect opportunity for the construction companies involved to showcase this unusual venue to their existing and potential clients. Since the Rose Bowl opened last month the venue has been in high demand with a steady flow of good, high-value enquiries. This has to be in majority down to the venue's dramatic structure as well as its first class facilities."

The celebratory evening allowed guests to explore the Rose Bowl's facilities, which include a choice of 7 lecture theatres that can accommodate for up to 256 delegates, as well as breakout facilities for larger conferences. The spaces have the latest in audio visual technology with free wifi broadband, data projection, portable and permanent screens, DVD and video monitors, which is all included in the day delegate rate package.
