New tool kit for Well Met Ambassadors

New tool kit for Well Met Ambassadors

Well Met Conferencing's successful Ambassador Programme, which hit an all time high earlier this year when the scheme secured events generating an impressive income of over £500,000, has launched a new initiative to encourage Ambassadors to bring more events to the University.

In a bid to encourage Ambassadors to actively attract new business, Well Met Conferencing has created a range of incentives which include reduced rates for hotel rooms, up to 25% off restaurants, money off Yorkshire attractions and much more.   As well as incentives to encourage proactive sales, Well Met Conferencing has created a new tool kit, to assist ambassadors in selling the University's venues and promoting its conference and event facilities. The new tool kit allows Ambassadors to be kept up to date with the latest news as well as having access to a new online brochure which can be sent out to potential clients detailing all the facilities available.

One Ambassador said:
"I enjoy being able to tell people about our facilities and have the backing of the Well Met team to convert this into revenue. I enjoy showing people around our venues and I welcome the opportunity to gain more knowledge on the conference packages and delegate rates available to external clients."

Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager for Well Met Conferencing, said:
"I'm delighted that the Ambassador Programme has been such a success and now we have the tools to provide our Ambassadors with more support to bring in events. It's fantastic that we can reward our members for their hard work and I'm sure it will pay dividends to the future success of the Programme."

The Well Met Ambassador Scheme was launched in December 2008 as an innovative scheme to recruit staff as 'Ambassadors', with a remit to actively promote the University's events and conference facilities.  Since the launch of the Scheme over 100 Ambassadors have signed up and more than 30 high profile events have taken place.
