LEEDS MET ACCOMMODATION
We are offering accommodation in our Opal One & Two student residences. You will be able to book this when registering online for the Conference or Doctoral Colloquium. Rooms will be in a modern development of high-quality, purpose-built student apartments.

Accommodation is in a single en-suite room in a single-sex apartment; each apartment has a shared kitchen/living room with TV. Bed linen and towels, and a welcome pack of tea/coffee and biscuits, will be provided in each room. Irons and ironing boards are available, but not hairdryers. Rooms will be allocated on arrival. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer twin or double rooms.

Breakfast will be served in the Rose Bowl before the start of each day’s proceedings as Opal One & Two do not have breakfast facilities.
Please note that check-in cannot be guaranteed before 14.00 on the day of arrival and rooms must be vacated by 10.00 on the day of departure. Late-evening check-ins will be possible.

Opal One & Two accommodation will be available for Doctoral Colloquium delegates on Sunday July 5th and Monday July 6th. For Conference delegates it will be available from Monday July 6th to Thursday July 9th inclusive.

TRANSPORT

If arriving in Leeds at the bus or train station, you may prefer to take a taxi.  The journey time is approximately 5-10 minutes.

There are no parking facilities at Opal One & Two. Apartments are c. 15 minutes’ walk from the Conference venue. Local buses 18/18a and 50/50a run every 10 minutes and connect with the city centre. For details, click here.

A free bus, 5 minutes’ walk from Opal One & Two, links with the bus and train stations, shopping areas and the Conference venue: it operates every few minutes from 06.30 to 19.30 each weekday. For details, click here.
