Leeds Metropolitan University is delighted to host the AHUA April 2009 Spring conference sponsored by Pinsent Masons, Eversheds, Mills & Reeve and Oakleigh Consulting.

The two day annual conference is an excellent opportunity to gain an informed insight into emerging strategic topics and learn through distinguished speakers. It is also an ideal occasion to network with colleagues, to renew old contacts and establish new ones.

This year, the conference combines plenary sessions with workshop and panel sessions reflecting AHUA’s key themes of staff development and effective HE governance. Topics include the challenges of future demography, the student experience, professional careers in HE and the media view of the sector. Dinners at Leeds City Museum and the world famous Headingley Carnegie stadium will provide stimulating backdrops for networking and socialising. We are particularly pleased that Professor Laurie Taylor has accepted the invitation to be our after dinner speaker on Tuesday evening.
