Leeds Met start as they mean to go on

Last week was the second round of BUSA fixtures for many of the teams and Leeds Met recorded another emphatic 30 victories. "Team of the week" must go to Men's Basketball, who inflicted only Worcester's third defeat in as many years.
The Men’s and Women’s Hockey sides both won convincingly without conceding, whilst Men’s and Women’s Rugby Union also recorded impressive wins.

As expected Women’s Basketball inflicted more heartache on Varsity Day rivals Leeds, whilst the Netball team suffered its first defeat of the season.

Weekend's Results

In front of SKY television cameras Leeds Carnegie Netball team kicked off their season in style with a comprehensive 54-27 home victory over Northern Thunder which puts them top of the Netball Superleague.

Leeds Met Carnegie FC were unlucky as they suffered their first defeat in six games with a 1-0 loss at Dinnington Town in the Northern Counties East Division One.

Leeds Carnegie Basketball continued their winning streak with a rampant 87-44 win away to Liverpool which keeps them top of the National League Division Three (Men) North

Anna and Tracey Neville attended a session with members of the squad, which included Leeds Rhinos captain and Leeds Met student Kevin Sinfield along with fellow Rhinos Keith Senior, Gareth Ellis, Rob Burrow, Jamie Peacock and Danny McGuire, at Carr Manor High School to help the players learn new passing skills, and give them coaching and advice from a netballer's point of view.
