This Saturday will be a big day for Rochdale Mayfield not only will they be aiming for a win against Leigh east to rech the third round to the Carnegie Challenge Cup but they will also be recieving the RFL club mark gold award,

The award is given to clubs who have proved themselves committed to providing a safe, effective and child-friendly environment. Clubs must pass a set of  sports specific standards that fit into Sport Englands national club mark framework. 

Rugby League clubs that gain Clubmark Gold Status accreditation receive recognition and promotion by Sport England, The RFL, County Sports Partnerships and Local Authorities.

To help the club celebrate  MP Neil Turne amd1973 Lance Todd trophy winner, Seve Nash will be present. The Carnegie Challenge Cup sponsors Leeds Metropolitan Univeristy will be bringing the prestigous trophy along for the opportunity for spectators to have their photograph taken.
