  • an impartial advice service (Careers Team) to help you make decisions on your career and to recognise and develop your employability skills
  • an employment service (Jobs Team) with part time student opportunities and graduate jobs

Yorkshire Graduate Recruitment Fair
Thursday 31st May - 11am to 3.30pm - The Edge, University of Leeds

Open to new and recent graduates from any university!
The Fair will give you access to:

- Over 100 graduate recruiters with local, national and international opportunities in a wide range of areas.
- A special Local Employment Zone featuring organisations with opportunities in Yorkshire.
- Information on further study options, working and living abroad, business start-ups, voluntary work etc.
- Details of recruitment and career-planning services, including specialist agencies.

It is FREE to attend and you don't need to book. Full travel information is available at the Fair website. When you arrive you will be given a comprehensive guide to the event as well as access to an e-book "The Insider's Guide" which contains top tips on applications and interviews from all the organisations attending (vital insider knowledge which could gain you an advantage!) You can also get your CV checked and attend 10 minute practical job seeking skills workshops.

New Job Hunting videos!

A range of new job hunting videos are now available through this website to current Leeds Met students. The videos cover CV Help, Interviews, Job Hunting techniques and Career Planning.

If you are accessing the videos off campus you will be asked to enter your Leeds Met login. 



Graduate Job hunting tips

Make a list of useful graduate job sources related to your career area. A list of useful job webstes to help get you started is available on our graduate employment page.

  • A large proportion of graduate vacancies are not advertised so consider targeting speculative applications at organisations you would like to work for.
  • The Job Shop work offer a graduate recruitment service with a number of graduate positions available as well as a graduate internship scheme. To view these jobs or to register your details with them use our Jobs Online website.
  • Leeds Met Graduates can still receive support from the Careers service up to 5 years after graduation. Contact us if you need advice we also offer e-advice and telephone appointmets to those not living in the Leeds area.
