Continuous Professional Development
Andrew Mitchell is Head Physiotherapist at Burnley Football Club and chose to enhance his skills by stud ying the MSc Sport and Exercise Science at Carnegie. He had heard about the great reputation of the Carnegie Sports Faculty and wanted the opportunity to study in such good facilities. According to Andrew the best thing about being a student at Carnegie is "being able to gain knowledge from the vastly experienced staff on such a fantastic campus". He also enjoyed being able to participate in practical experiments that he was then able to apply in a professional sporting environment.
Andrew believes having gained a sound knowledge into sports injuries through his undergraduate degree in physiotherapy, the MSc at Carnegie has given him the
expertise to apply the most recent scientific methods of conditioning to maximise player performance on return from injury.
