The Carnegie National Sports Development Centre offers a range of professional and support services to sport, recreation & leisure. Mel Welch, the Head of the Unit, is one of Britain's most experienced and respected sports administrators. The unit brings together a wide range of knowledge and ability to deliver services including research & consultancy, tailor-made short courses and a range of conferences and special events.

The centre has links with Sport England, Sports Aid Foundation, British Olympic Association, Federation of Yorkshire Sport and the Leeds Sports Federation as well as a host of other sports related organisations
