Free Training for people affected by the recession

Leeds Met is offering free training and support to individuals who either have been made redundant or who are facing redundancy.

Economic Challenge Response offers training, mentoring and follow up support to a variety of sectors which have been adversely affected by the recession.  Training is available in a number of subject areas, delivered in bitesize chunks and worth up to £1500 per individual.

It is recruiting now for the 'business start-up' package - a 4 day course commencing on 17th August, which also includes mentoring and three month follow-up support, offering access to office space. 

The University can also work directly with employers to deliver courses that would re-train or up-skill employees to help them retain their employment or make them more employable if they were made redundant. Employers will receive 60% off the value of training delivered exclusively to their staff in partnership with the University.
